Public engagement

Good afternoon,

This is a reminder that the latest community engagement for Ruchill, Hamiltonhill, Possilpark, Port Dundas and Cowlairs Liveable Neighbourhoods (LN) area is available via: https://arcg.is/eG4nW

Surveys for the respective proposals can also be accessed on the GCC Consultation Hub or directly through the following links:

The Dummy Railway

Ruchill Street Placemaking

These surveys will remain open for responses until the 14th October ; enabling local residents to feedback on the RIBA Stage-2 draft concept designs and provide wider commentary on the LN activity in the area.

We will also be undertaking a public drop-in session on October 11th between 2 and 5pm at:

The Courtyard

2 Wester Common Drive

Glasgow

G22 5PG

We would be delighted if you were able to join us at a drop in event on date to discuss concept ideas which have been developed as part of the LN programme.

We would appreciate it if you can share the survey links amongst your networks to generate engagement in this activity of the LN programme.

The information gathered will inform concept designs for local projects, allowing for further design refinement and to prepare funding bids to take the identified interventions through to implementation. Further details about the Liveable Neighbourhoods programme can be viewed on the LN webpage , LN storymap and LN toolkit .

Look out for us in your area, this Friday and Saturday!

We're dropping into the area on Friday and Saturday to get some early physical engagement that will help us in defining the LN projects.

WAVEparticle are conducting some informal interviews and conversations across both LN areas to try and catch people on the street with something to say. Worried about the weather? Fear not, as we have a gazebo, so no excuses!

On Friday morning we’ll be at Saracen Cross (9am), then at The Courtyard Pantry, Westercommon Drive for 11.15am. The team is then jumping over to the southside of the city to engage in the other area we’re working on then returning back to the north on Saturday afternoon where we’ll be at Ruchill Community Centre for 2pm then Bardowie Street, next to the playground for 4pm.

Please come along if you can, we’d love to meet you and hear your ideas.

Peku Online Event

On Thursday 14th October 2021, we’ve organised a series of online sessions to listen to what’s important to you and to connect individuals, organisations and projects, across the north and south of the city under the LN themes. The main areas of focus here are Ruchill, Possilpark, Port Dundas, Hamiltonhill & Cowlairs in the North and Langside, Battlefield, Mount Florida, Toryglen & King’s Park in the South. As part of this we have invited several contributors to give short 3-minute presentations (Peku) on something they are trying to develop in their area, with the intention that this will stimulate conversation, inspire action and begin the process of making better connections.

The project team will be looking for your help to identify potential interventions in your neighbourhoods that will be established as part of the first phase of the project.

If you would you like to attend, have your say and hear from others then please email us at:

LiveableNeighbourhoods@glasgow.gov.uk

and we’ll send you an invite for the online event.
